Love your Parents ♥

Hi My lovely readers ,

Today I was  bit emotional.I ran across this quote that really touched me .

"Love your parents, we are often so busy growing up that we forget they are growing old."

This was just a reminder for me that I have been so busy with my life that I neglected spending time with my parents.  I started thinking about all that they did and still do for me. Their love has no measure. Even though they might not say it but through their actions they surely say they Love you. 


Parents are the most important people in your life because they are the ones who have created you . Imagine if the one who created you found out that you did not want them anymore.That would be really sad.Remember no matter what, your parents will always be there for you. They are the ones who changed your dippers, woke up in the middle f the night to feed you, took care of you when you where sick. There are certain times even when I get irritated at my mom or dad, but I know when they say something to me they say it because they love me. So cherish every moment with them.



Some people are not as fortunate as you might be to have a full family, happy parents. So when they scream at you or lecture you its because they love and care for you. So please respect and love them.They are the ones who educated you, gave you everything you have and gave you a home, so please say I love yu to them.Your parents are another form of God on earth :)

How to stay Positive / Letting your inner beauty grow :)

Hi my lovely readers,

True beauty starts within. Its important to do our hair & makeup but its also equally important to fell good inside. Feeling good and staying positive will make you a much more beautiful person than you already are.



Firstly keep your self in a positive environment be it your office, living room etc , in a positive atmosphere. When I walk into a room and see that everything is pretty , clean and organised it instantly makes me feel happy and positive. Maybe you can get a new color on your walls or put quote that inspire you on the walls or pictures of family and friends and make your space beautiful and positive. That also goes for Music, Listening to good music always puts me in a good mood. and also if you have anything negative in your room like a picture of someone you are no longer friends with then put that away, it was in the past.





Next is to nourish yourself well. I feel the biggest difference when I eat well and when I put some effort into make some good food at home rather than eating fast foods.It puts me in a good mood.I have more energy to do things. When you do that your body starts to look good and looking in the mirror instead of saying uff i'm bloated you look and feel amazing, your hair looks good, your skin feels good.Show your body some love and it will come back to you. And drink lots of water.




Third thing is to take care of yourself. Which means getting enough sleep , exercising, and not stressing about things.It will help you have a positive outlook on life . you are the most important thing in you life so take care of yourself.



Fourth is to surround your self with positive people. Nothing is worse than being with someone who is constantly negative and constantly gossiping  and has a problem with everything. This is so toxic on your body and I feel like this breathers a lot of negativity and at he end f he day it is no your responsibility to deal with everyone's negativity. Its important to be a good friend if your friend is obviously going through something.Its important to be there for them but if this person is just being bashful of others and gossiping then its just not necessary. there's so many other things you can fill your mind with.





Finally set goals and make yourself a vision board. Try to do something small everyday to help you reach your goal ( http://samanthadsouza.blogspot.com/
2013/03/how-to-make-your-dreams-come-true.html ) . It is also important to be thankful and grateful for what you have , even if it isn't much and this will also make you fell more appreciative towards life.






Now an overall , general and obvious tip is to just be a good person and be helpful and kind.

How to make your dreams come true?

How to achieve your Goals ?



Most of the time we imagine the things we want to achieve but its hard to make them tangible. We wonder what do I do to get there. So these few steps will help to achieve our goals. Its from a book called "Slight Edge". And you guys must read this book, its kind of life changing. So when you making goals, put them into categories, eg: financial, health and fitness  work, spiritual etc. 

Now start out by writing what you want in each category, eg: health- feel better , deal with depression/mood swings, spiritual - feel close to God, relationships- have a good relationship with family and friends etc..Now you need to set your baby steps to achieve these goals. Make these steps for each day. And let them be easy steps, so that you can easily do it each day ( unless your that lazy). 

Example: Health - Visualize yourself feeling fit ,body and mind each day for a minute, just one minute each day, Spiritual- Listen to inspirational speakers for 5 minutes each day, Only 5 minutes so you stay focused.
At least in each category do baby steps for 2 minutes each day. 

Set goals that are realistic. Not like ,' I'm going to jog for one hour a day and then you give it up in the end because one hour a day is too much for you to do each day. Rather do it for 5 minutes or 15 minutes each day. And after your 15 minutes you can say, ' Yes! I did it. ' Baby steps are very important.

The cool thing about this is that baby steps are actually moving you forward :)

Often after doing baby steps you will feel like doing more , if not then baby steps are fine too as long as its done daily. Remember nothing is "IMPOSSIBLE" :)

How to speak with Confidence?

Hi Samantha, I am struggling with low self confidence and am often afraid to speak out when I'm in a large group of friends or co workers.I feel so terrible. I really need to change this. I love the advice you give. Do you think you can help me be confident ? Thank you :) - Anonymous 



Hi Sweetheart,

* Big Hugs* I know how you feel. Believe me I used to be a introvert for most of my School years. I always thought I had nothing interesting / important to say.It took me a while to get over it and go up to people and interact with them. I took some time to ask people around so that I would have something productive to say. Might I say I am not the most confident person and I myself  have to work on many aspects but I hope these few tips and advice will help you be more confident.Hopefully this will pull you out of your comfort zone and help you do something different. 
  • The number one thing you have to pay attention  to is your body language. Always try to hold your chin parallel to the floor. And be present when your talking. I used to always look down. So put everything away and walk with confidence when you are walking into a room with people :)
  • Second thing is to do things on your own. Don't depend on your family or close friends. Go to the gym alone, or go to a restaurant and eat alone. No one actually cares why your eating alone. Take away that security blanket that you have created for your self :)
  • Peoples spectator. One thing why I was an introvert was that I always felt that I had nothing interesting to say but this gave me a chance to observe people, what they said and how they said things. So learn people :)
  • Learn how to make people feel good by the things you say and do. Just say nice things and be genuine. Confident people are not afraid to compliment others :) 
  • Be Magnetic. Make people want to be around you :)
  • Be Decisive. This is one thing I need to work on. I am so easy going. when Im in a group and some one asks me what i want to eat or what I want o do, i always say , ill have anything or whatever. Being decisive is knowing yourself. so just go ahead and make a decision :)
  • Take compliments and criticism in the same way.  You alone are responsible for your highest high and lowest low. Don't get offensive, it shows that you are nervous. Be a person who is whole and just say thank you :)

So I think I've said a lot. Hope this helps you open up more and interact with others :)
